And the winner is....

Beth!  Last's the best of all the game this time, because random.org picked #39 of 39 comments as the winner!

Blogger Beth said...
Beautiful snowflakes! I think I like the sweet snowflake the best but it's really difficult to pick a fave!
Beth, if you'll contact me with your email address, I'll send you a catalog so you can pick your five ornaments!

Several of you mentioned that you didn't see your favorites listed in my etsy shop anymore, but never fear -- all designs are available because I am always making more.  If you'd like to see a catalog, just contact me via email or via my etsy shop and I'll send you a pdf catalog (just make sure you leave your email address).

Thanks for playing along, everyone!  Happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas!

It's my Blogiversary -- time for blog candy!

Wow, I just realized that July marks my two-year "blogiversary," so I thought before the month is over I'd better do something to mark the occasion! Blogging -- both keeping up my own blog and hopping around to so many others -- has really become an important part of my life, and I'm so grateful for all the friends I've made because of it. I'm also coming up on 50,000 hits, so we've got all sorts of things to celebrate. So to create a fun-for-everyone type of party, I'm offering a pick-your-prize blog candy!

Option 1: Scrap goodies, of course! I've got a little prize pack together with some cute stamps, chipboard letters, and a whole slew of flowers and embellishments. Ooh, and a zig glue pen, which is a must have for gluing small bits.

Option 2: a $25 gift certificate to my etsy shop. If you're a Sure Cuts a Lot user, this is the prize for you! I have a ton of cute, completely original cut files perfect for use with your Cricut and SCAL. I also have some adorable fabric flower accessories and very unique wooden snowflake Christmas ornaments (those will be up by the end of August).

Option 3: If you're not a paper-crafter at all, I've included this option so you don't feel left out. With this option I'll send you 10 of my favorite handmade cards for your own personal card supply, or you can make your mom or grandma very happy by giving them as a gift. :)

All you have to do to enter this drawing is leave a comment telling me which prize you'd prefer, and if you have a blog, leave a link to where you've posted about the blog candy (you can also post to Facebook or Twitter). This blog candy offering will run for the next two weeks (until August 15th), and I'll pick a random commenter to win the prize! Thank you very much to all you wonderful friends in the blogosphere!

Beautiful new (to me!) blog on my blog roll -- check this out!

So, I am totally in love with Magnolia stamps. They are so sweet. Up til now they've been next to impossible to find here in the US, but I've just found a new vendor and ordered my first stamps! You can bet I'll be posting my first projects just as soon as I get them in my hot little hands.

Anyhoo, I've been doing some surfing looking at others' creations with these stamps, and found this bee-yewtiful blog with examples of these stamps -- this is some amazing artwork! It's called Pretty Pressings. And she's doing a really great blog candy giveaway right now, so it's the perfect time to check it out

Entries for the Rummage Challenge!

And the winner is... Sarah S., for the adorable Father's Day card!
In second place, I just loved Tonya's "Pretty as a Flower" layout -- very creative use of the acrylic frame, and I really liked the patchwork paper scraps.

Great job, everyone! And thank you so much to Aubrey, my bug-lovin' friend who helped me pick the winners!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this challenge! It was great fun to see the different and beautiful projects people created with long forgotten supplies. I also loved hearing how you all stepped out of your comfort zone. Here are the entries -- I'll post the winner soon!

And here is the card I created! I spun my Clip-it-up with my eyes closed, and my finger landed on a pack of Making Memories "believe" rub-ons in the Christmas section. I wasn't much in the mood for Christmas, but I thought it would work great on a grad card for my little sis! I used paper and ribbon that I've had in my stash for ages as well, just to keep in the spirit of the challenge! The only new thing is the adorable owl stamp, which I just bought at Archiver's. So cute! "class of 2008" is cut with Base Camp at 1".

The Rummage Challenge! Fun Prizes, too!

Last week I finally bought a Clip It Up, which allowed me to clean out my giant bin of embellishments and get them organized. I was amazed at all the things I have that I hadn't seen or thought about since I bought them! And I was thinking, I bet everyone has a bin or a scrap drawer or a closet where things just disappear. So here's the challenge:

With your eyes closed, rummage through that black hole stash and pick one thing, then make a project with it! It can be some kind of embellishment, a long-forgotten scrap of paper you've been saving for some reason you can't remember, or anything you've had for a long time and just never used. And remember, you can't pick it on purpose -- you have to have your eyes closed! I can't wait to see everyone's creations! Post a comment with a link to where you've posted your project -- the deadline for entry will be Sunday, May 25th. Then I'll announce the winner on May 26th!

And here are the prizes you can win! Depending on how many entries I receive, I'll probably divide this up into a grand prize and a smaller runner-up prize.

I'm going to have to take some better pictures, but here's what's in the pot:
- Fancy Pants borders rub-ons
- Fancy Pants "Mulberry Road" flowers
- Making Memories cloth flowers - Blue and White mix
- Making Memories cloth pockets
- DCWV 6x6 accordian album
- Scrapworks "Color Rubz" summer-themed rub-ons
- Scrapworks "Hugz&Dotz" accent and alpha stickers (2 sets)
- Scenic Route chipboard alpha in tan
- Making Memories copper sheets
- Sizzix manila envelope die (can be used with Sizzix or Cuttlebug machines)
- Making Memories "desination" rub-on alpha
- We R Memory Keepers "Garden Path" chipboard tags
- Making Memories "Eclectic Brads"
- Pioneer photo corners
- Elmer's adhesive runner

I'm going to be taking on this challenge as well. What got me started on this whole kick was actually trying to use up some of the scraps from my scrap drawers, which were offically overflowing. Here are some of the fun cards I made:
