***Great news! I'm turning my coloring pages into a beautiful coloring book and journal, which will be published and ready to ship just in time for Christmas! If you're interested, you can pre-order now on Kickstarter!***
"Come, follow me... and do the things which ye have seen me do." -- a mashup of 2 scriptures, one from the New Testament and one from the Book of Mormon. Jesus did a lot of things during his short ministry, but the great motivating factor behind each was LOVE. Drawing people has never been my strong suit, but when I was figuring out what to do for this page I was moved by the image of Jesus with his arm around someone who was in pain, helping them continue down the road. I thought about the story of Lazarus dying, and how Jesus mourned with his sisters. He knew their pain would soon turn to joy, but He was still filled with compassion for their sorrow and wept with them. I couldn't think of a better image for the kind of disciple of Christ that I want to be - a person who supports people wherever they are on their own rocky path, helps them to move forward AND feel surrounded by love.
But boy, this page has given me fits. I really loved how the lettering turned out, but I tried about a dozen different things for the rest of the page without finding something I really loved. I'm using this for Primary (the children's class in our church) tomorrow, so I wanted to do something that would appeal to the boys as well as the girls, which meant my go-to florals were out. So that's why you get three different options for download this week!
